Understanding Family Finances

As soon as we had kids, I started to realize that our financial situation would be a little different. Instead of spending money on myself, I realized that we would need to focus on paying off medical bills, buying groceries, and footing the bill for diapers. However, budgeting was a little trickier than I anticipated. We ran out of money a lot at first, which was really frustrating. I decided that it might be smart to learn a little more about money, so that we weren't poor forever. It took a lot of self-discipline, but after a few months our situation drastically improved.
